What It’s Really Like Working With Me as Your Wedding Photographer

If you’re reading this, you’re likely somewhere in that joyful, slightly chaotic stage of planning where your phone has about 300 wedding screenshots, your brain has ten tabs open at once, and someone has just asked you which shade of napkin linen you prefer.

I get it. And choosing your photographer? That’s big.

Not because you’re choosing someone to press a button. But because you’re choosing someone to walk through the emotional heart of your day with you.

So let me show you what it feels like when we work together.

1. You’re Not a Booking. You’re a Relationship.

From our first message, I’m getting to know you, not just your date and venue. Who matters most? What moments feel sacred to you? What’s the vibe of your day? Are you doing confetti canons or rolling countryside calm?

This isn’t a transaction. It’s a collaboration.

2. The Energy I Bring Is Adaptable to You

I’m a calming voice when things feel intense. I’m hype and cheering when the energy lifts. I blend in with your guests so the day feels seamless, not like you have a camera following you around.

Think of me as a warm, steady presence that just fits in.

3. No Awkward Posing. Just Natural Moments.

If you’ve ever said, “We’re not photogenic,” trust me, you are.

You don’t need to pose. You just need to be together.

I guide you with gentle prompts that bring out real emotion and real connection, the kinds of photos where you look like yourselves, not mannequins.

4. Your Guests Will Think We’re Old Friends

I blend into the day so naturally that your guests will chat, laugh, and relax around me. That’s how we capture those gorgeous, real candids that feel alive and full of joy.

5. Your Photos Will Tell the Story of the Day

Not just what happened, but how it felt.

The nervous hand squeeze before you walk down the aisle.Your dad’s face when he sees you in your dress.Your friend wiping away a tear during the speeches. The absolute chaos of the dance floor later.

You will feel the day again when you look back.

6. You’ll Have Sneak Peeks Fast

I know how excited you’ll be.

So within 24–48 hours, you’ll get a beautiful set of preview images to relive the day right away.

7. Real Planning Tips to Make Your Wedding Day Feel Effortless

I’ve been to a lot of weddings, and I’ve seen what makes the day feel smooth and relaxed. Here are some tips couples love:

Tip #1: Build in 10 Minutes Alone After the Ceremony

Everyone will want to hug you all at once, which is lovely, but take ten minutes to just breathe together. It makes the whole day feel calmer, grounded, and intentional.

Tip #2: Choose a Confetti Moment With Space

Confetti looks amazing in photos, but only if there’s space to move. Doorways? Too cramped.Courtyards, gardens, big outdoor steps? Perfect.

Tip #3: Plan Your Group Photos List in Advance

Keep group photos short, sweet, and organised. A simple pre-written list =Less faff, more fun.

Tip #4: Think About the Light

Golden hour (around sunset) is the most beautiful time for couple photos. Even 15 minutes here creates magic.

Tip #5: Be Present

Seriously. Don’t worry about the timeline. Don’t try to control every moment. I’ve got you. Your vendors have you. Your job is to live the day, not manage it.

8. When the Wedding Ends, Your Story Lives On

The cake will be eaten. The flowers will fade. The dress will go back in its box.

But these images? They’ll become the way you remember your day for the rest of your life.

That’s why who photographs it matters.

If this sounds like the experience you want…

Then let’s have a chat.

No pressure, no sales pitch. Just getting to know each other and seeing if we click.

Send me a message and let’s start something real.

Your story deserves to be told beautifully, and I’d be honoured to tell it.
