Should I Have Zoom Call With My Photographer Before Booking?

Planning a wedding can be a stressful and overwhelming experience. From choosing the perfect venue to finding the right vendors, there are countless decisions you need to make in order to create your dream wedding. One of the most important vendors you will need to hire is your wedding photographer. Your wedding photos will be the lasting memories of your special day, and you want to make sure you choose the right photographer to capture those memories. That's why it's crucial to have a Zoom call with your wedding photographer before booking them.

At Jordans photography, it is a must that we have at least one Zoom call. The reason for this is more simple than you think. With so many scams going around at the moment it's easy to get caught up in something that might sound too good to be true. We have all read the stories on Facebook about couples that have sent hundreds if not thousands to a wedding supplier to be scammed out of all their hard-earned money.

I see it all too often, and it still upsets me to this day. I get hundreds of enquiries a month, and it still surprises me how many couples out there dont want to jump either on a Zoom call, or phone call. For this reason, if we can't jump on at least one of them, then the chances are I won't work with that couple. This isn't because I want to get the couple on a call and sell to them, but it's because I want them to first speak to an actual person and for them to know that I am who I say I am. We also need to make sure that we would be a great fit for each other.

There's something to remember when booking your wedding photographer. Out of all the suppliers that you will have for your day, your wedding photographer is the one who will be there from start to finish. So for this reason alone, jumping on a quick call with them before booking is a really good idea. You MUST know that you feel comfortable around them and most importantly, you can be yourselves. This is best done over a Zoom call.

It also gives you the chance to ask questions about your day and get a personal answer, rather than just a generic email that can be sent out to hundreds of couples on mass. The whole experience on a Zoom call will give you a better idea of how you would feel around your photographer when it comes to your day.

I've been a wedding photographer around Nottingham for over 10 years, and with all the couples I have had the pleasure to work with, we have been on many calls and each of them would tell you that it's definitely the right move to make when considering your wedding photographer.

If you are still looking for your wedding photographer and would like to jump on a Zoom call, please feel free to drop me a message and let's connect. Im here to help all them new couples out there if you decide to go with me or not. Please dont get caught in the trap of going with a supplier just because they were cheaper than the last one you spoke with. It's true when they say, pay cheap, pay twice.
